H2SE in Drilling Operations

Summary

Oil and gas Drilling Operations are accounting for a high rate of critical incidents compared to other domains in the petroleum industry, working in extreme operating conditions is one of the principal reasons for accident to occur but not only.

The intersecting, continuous and complex characters of drilling operations determine the variety of risks. Some of these associated risks are extremely difficult to control, as a kick inside the well not properly controlled can escalate to blowout which can lead to devastating consequences.

Risk Identification and Analysis are tools used for developing strategies which prevent accidents and for devising mitigation measures regarding Rig equipment, Safety engineering, HSE organizational Management system and Environmental Management Plan.

The purpose of this course is to visit all aspects regarding HSE in Drilling Operations: Best Practices, Personnel and Training, Working Procedures, Engineering, Equipment standards with Certification and Organization Management and to address a full picture of what are the Drilling environment and process.

The course identifies every Hazards on the Rig: On the Drill Floor, related to the Drilling Fluids and Cementing Operations and also related to the supporting facilities on the Rig.

It addresses the issue of the Respect for Environment in Drilling Operations: The diversity of issues, the Regulatory Frame, the Environmental and Societal Impact Assessment, the diverse Environmental Management Plans and Procedures. The final section describes the Performance Indicators used to monitor the Performances in term of Impact on Environment during Drilling Operations.

In Module 4, the course covers the Well Control in Drilling Operations: The scenarios of Loss of Well Control, the Safety Barriers to prevent it and the Blow-Out Contingency Plan to fight the loss of well control.

The last module of the course describes the tailored Management System for Drilling Operations: The Management of numerous Contractors, the Bridging Documents, the key elements of the Drilling HSE Management System.

Audience

Any Superintendents, Supervisors and Technicians involved in the Safety of Drilling Operations. This course is also a necessary refresher for drillers who are daily exposed to the specific Risks of the Rig environment.

Deliverables

Upon completion of this course, the attendants will have a complete view of what are the best practices to ensure high H2SE Standard during Drilling Operations. All aspects are reviewed: personnel behavior, equipment standards, Emergency and Environmental Plans and Procedures, certification, training and management organization.

Certificate

The training will be opened and closed by an online test on EvalBox. Upon completion of the training, including the test, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance issued by Adinergy.
